New Moon Alpacas has been breeding both Huacaya and Suri alpacas since mid-2004. We choose only animals who can add a diversity and quality to our herd. Our breeding program focuses on producing top quality, healthy, sturdy, and finely fleeced alpacas. Our fiber goals are keeping >5 standard deviation (SD) and coefficient of variation (CV) >19 on our cria's fleeces. In our Suris, we are breeding for overall architecture, fineness, luster, lock structure, and density, as well as strong conformation in a gentle, easily handled, tractable animal. We breed the best animals that compliment them. So we offer a very broad range of genetics available at our farm, including McGyver, Bruxo, Hemingway, SA Karrington, Avatar, Uribe, Peruvian Aldo, Lumino, High Interest, and a myriad variety of other notables bloodlines.
